His Eye is on You

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26

I recently woke up with the song "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" on my mind. The two lines at the end kept playing over and over: "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me."

Is there anything else so comforting, so reassuring as knowing that the God of the universe is attentive to His children?

We often seek ways to turn our attention to God, but I think we are unaware of Hisattention turned toward us - His watching over us, caring for us. Just pausing and asking God how He is specifically watching over you right now can bring reassurance and peace. I am feeling that reassurance and peace as I ask Him that question while writing this right now.

In our Practical Prayer class at ONE, Cayce Harris teaches that Jesus died to give us full access to the Father. Jesus’ prayed that we would be one with the Father in the same way He and the Father are one. Her classes help us begin to recognize the way God communicates with us. Sometimes that communication is so quick, we dismiss it out of hand because it comes to us so easily. Or we shrug it off as just our thoughts. But the truth is, God is more accessible and easier to hear than many of us realize! If you would like to connect with God and hear His voice for yourself, try our online e-courses at www.one-sa.org. Jesus has made it possible for everyone to connect with the God who is watching over them...and that most definitely includes you.
